DEVELOPMENT OF A COMMITTEE:
We have representatives from the local churches, resource partners and Native American organizations we work directly with and folks interested in Native American culture and tradition.
Our committee is called CONAM for Conference Committee on Native American Ministry. We are committed to working in the local church and the Native community at large. We are charged with resourcing the local church to promote Native American Ministry Sunday, one of our six Special Sunday Offerings on the UMC church calendar. Since we are involved in social, economic, health, and spiritual issues, we take part in Native American events throughout the year and also sponsor events.
